Compugen's Therapeutics Programs consist of therapeutic candidates that have been initially predicted in silico utilizing a proprietary discovery engine, and then successfully demonstrated functional activity in vitro and in vivo. Our therapeutic product pipeline started with the Company's first discovery engine that focuses on novel splice variants of known, clinically-related protein drugs or drug targets, and was quickly expanded to include new discovery engines like the GPCR ligand discovery platform. The current drug candidates are of potential use in the treatment of various types of cancer, inflammatory diseases and cardiovascular indications. Novel therapeutic proteins discovered through the program will be licensed to partners for clinical development and commercialization. Alternatively, we will work with a pharmaceutical partner to perform further preclinical or early-stage clinical work and license the candidate to the partner at a later stage.
